Jennifer Lopez always glows. She is lit from within. She’s  a multi-faceted performer, entrepreneur, mother of twins, and fashionista. But if you look close, you can still see “Jenny from the Block” in her eyes. She remains young, fresh and playful. Every ounce a woman, but always in touch with her precious “girl self.”

True radiance comes from within. That’s why it’s so important to maintain a healthy diet, drink lots of water, get fresh air and exercise, and also pay attention to the spirit.

Exercise is an important component of everyone’s health. Women who want to be healthy should engage in regular exercise. It should be something you enjoy, gets your heart pumping, gets you outside some of the time, leaves you feeling great when you’re done, and energized for the rest of the day. Most experts agree, the best time to exercise is in the morning, first thing whenever possible.

I’ll be talking about some of the types of exercises I like best and why. We’ll also look at some famous “bodies” and see what gets them into shape and keeps them there.

Jennifer Aniston, born in 1969,  says yoga changed her life. She’s touted has having one of the best physiques in Hollywood, and the results of her yoga practice are clearly evident.

Jen swears by running and yoga to keep her toned and trim. She says: ‘I run and sweat and feel it. You get addicted to the euphoric feeling of getting up and having a good sweat. It wakes your body up. I also do yoga, I run, and I eat well.’ But what kind of yoga does she practice? ‘I do hatha yoga three or four times a week. It keeps my body strong, and if my body is strong it keeps me able to sleep better, function in the day better and I can do my job better. It’s been wonderful for me.’

Yoga is good for everyone. The great thing about it is that you grow and evolve into the practice at your own pace. Practicing yoga can become a spiritual experience as well, meaning the body/spirit connection is strengthened, an added benefit.

You’ll gain flexibility, give your internal organs a massage, improve your circulation, and finish with a beautiful flush on your face that will keep you glowing all day. It’s hard work, but worth the effort. Yoga is something you can do for life. Yoga lengthens the muscles, strengthens your core, and is very suitable for women of all ages. It is never too late to start a personal journey with yoga.
